What is the chronic absenteeism rate at your school?

Statewide, chronic absenteeism at public schools rose to 30% during the 2021-22 school year, more than twice the level in 2018-2019. Eligible students are determined to be chronically absent if they were absent for 10% or more of the days they were expected to attend.

Notes

Numbers include charter and non-charter schools. Data are suppressed if the selected student population is 10 or less. Low income refers to the socioeconomically disadvantaged subgroup. Because of physical school closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Dept. of Education determined 2019-20 absenteeism data to be unreliable and therefore unavailable for public release.
